Paid agents are deployed to tarnish UML: Chairman Oli

KATHMANDU, Feb 9: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Thursday said that the incumbent government has only three months lifespan left, only if it doesnt die due to natural causes.

He was of the opinion that the government will get changed within three months owing to disputes among the ruling parties about new Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Nepal Police.

Addressing the ninth Central Committee meeting of All Nepal Womens Association, a sister organization of the party, Oli said, "All the governments for temporary. The government has only three months lifespan left."

Blaming the government to be more profit-oriented, the former Prime Minister said that it was involved in milking the state coffers rather than strengthening the state mechanism.

On a separate note, Oli charged the government accusing that it refused doling out money to earthquake victims and the National Reconstruction Authority.

"Blaming of non-performance by not providing money is not suitable act of the government," he said, adding that the government doled out the money only after sacking the then Chief Executive Officer, Sushil Gyewali and appointing Govinda Raj Pokharel as CEO.

Hinting toward India, Oli said that a good neighbor should help Nepal to solve its problems rather than further escalating it. In a separate context he further said that paid agents are being deployed to tarnish UML.

Pakistan ready to help Nepal: Ambassador Javed

Chitwan, Dec 13: Pakistani ambassador to Nepal Dr Mazhar Javed today said development could not take place as expected only by depending on a single country.

Addressing a programme organised by the Chitwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) in Chitwan in his welcome, he suggested establishing good relations with various countries for a widespread development of Nepal.

Saying Nepal had to undergo various problems and difficulties largely due to its dependency on a single country, he said Pakistani government is ready to provide help for development if Nepal creates a conducive environment for it.
He also stressed the need for increasing products in Nepal and searching for the market.

Saying Chitwan is an area with potentials for poultry production, he suggested promoting the production there.

Also on the occasion, Chitwan CCI President Rajan Gautam emphasised the need for benefiting from Pakistan by further strengthening Nepal’s trade relations with it. RSS
